Study Description: The study examined ways of understanding and responding to sources of mistrust and misinformation about COVID-19. The research also refined community-engaged research approaches to enhance the process of building and sustaining trust with communities. A central theme of the proposed research was to develop processes and resources to assure individuals have the tools and information to make well-informed choices about how they respond to COVID-19. The ultimate goal was to begin to address the long-term, deeply embedded issues of trust and injustice that have detrimentally impacted the health of communities of color.
